      A transmission oil cooler usually consists of a cooling tube that sits inside the radiator's outlet chamber. The coolant passes through the cooling tube to cool the transmission fluid that flows through it. Inside the cooler, heat is exchanged between the water and the oil, which is susceptible to rust and corrosion due to the small spacing between the water and oil passages. When the engine is working, the pressure in the oil passages is greater than the pressure in the water passages, and the oil may be pressed into the water passages; and when the engine stops working, the oil is prevented from flowing back by the check valve, so that the water cannot penetrate into the oil passages
