-Heat dissipation: the gearbox generates a lot of heat when working, the oil pipe makes the gearbox oil circulate and flow, taking the heat away, and exchanging heat through the radiator to prevent the gearbox from overheating.

- Lubrication and Transmission: Ensure the parts in the gearbox are well lubricated to reduce the wear and tear, and at the same time, transmit the power to ensure the normal operation of the gearbox.

- Pressure regulation: keep the gearbox oil at a certain pressure to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic control system, and also discharge the excess pressure to reduce the loss of oil.

Classification

- Fuel inlet pipe: Usually thicker, connected to the fuel filter, located on the top of the gearbox or above the injector nozzles, with the needle of the oil level gauge pointing to "F" (full), it is responsible for transporting the gearbox oil from the sump or radiator to the inside of the gearbox.

- Oil return pipe: relatively thin, branching out from the inside of the gearbox, located at the bottom or below the injector nozzles, with the needle of the oil level gauge pointing to "E" (empty), its function is to send the excess oil after the work of the gearbox back to the oil sump or radiator.

Material and Characteristics

- Rubber hose: with good flexibility, corrosion resistance and shock absorption, it can adapt to the vibration and displacement of the vehicle traveling, but it is easy to aging and rupture in long-term use.

- Metal hose: high strength, high temperature and high pressure resistance, not easy to deformation and rupture, but poor flexibility, the installation needs to be matched accurately

- Composite hose: combining the advantages of rubber hose and metal hose, the outer layer is metal braided mesh or fiber reinforced layer, and the inner layer is rubber or plastic, which not only ensures the strength and sealing, but also has a certain degree of flexibility.
