Common Problems and Solutions

Oil leaks/seepage

Causes:

Aging and cracking (especially in winter when the rubber hardens);

Loose clamps or failed seals;

High pressure due to frequent beating of the steering wheel. The reason of oil leakage/seepage: aging and cracking; loose clamp or seal failure; high pressure due to frequent beating of direction.

Steps:

① Clean the oil leakage point and confirm the high pressure hose or oil return hose;

② Oil leakage from the oil return hose: Replace the oil-resistant hose (the inner diameter should be matched, e.g., 10mm), and fix it with a spring clamp + screw clamp;

③ High-pressure hose leakage: must replace the original parts, the sub-factory parts are easy to mismatch due to the inner diameter of the rattles / booster failure.

Burst/rupture

Emergency treatment: Stop the car immediately to avoid loss of direction control;

Temporarily seal the leakage point (e.g. tape wrapping) and replenish the booster oil, drive to the repair point at low speed. Root cause:

Clogged oil pipe leading to pressure surge (need to check the whole oil circuit);

Poor quality parts or improper installation.

Steps for replacing the oil pipe

Empty the old booster oil and disassemble the old oil pipe (pay attention to the direction of the interface);

After installing the new pipe, pour the oil to the MAX line, and start the engine;

Key operation: Beat the steering wheel left and right for 3~5 times, and discharge the air (accompanied by "buzzing").
