OE Code No. 17227604980 Common Materials and Characteristics of Gearbox Fuel Hose
I. Metal Materials
★ Aluminum alloy
Advantage: Light weight, high heat dissipation efficiency, suitable for the pursuit of lightweight and efficient heat dissipation models.
Application: Commonly used in turbo intercooler tube and other components, part of the gearbox oil pipe 17227567207 made of aluminum to enhance the heat dissipation performance.
★ Copper
Advantage: Strong corrosion resistance, high durability, but weaker than aluminum alloy heat dissipation performance.
Disadvantages: Higher cost, has been gradually replaced by other materials.
★ Stainless Steel
Advantages: High strength, high temperature/corrosion resistance, suitable for high-pressure environments, good long-term stability.
Applications: Commonly used in models with high durability requirements.

Ⅱ. Synthetic Materials
★ Rubber + reinforced structure
Structural design: Part of the fuel hose uses aramid wire winding (similar to wire mesh) or cross braiding process to enhance pressure resistance.
Characteristics: Good flexibility, but easy to aging and hardening under long-term high temperature.
Silicone
Advantage: High temperature resistance is better than ordinary rubber, flexible and easy to install, cost-effective.
Application: The retrofit market commonly used silicone replica aluminum alloy fittings, taking into account the performance and cost.
★ Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS)
High-temperature stability: temperature resistance up to 260°C or more, no deformation or softening at high temperature, better than traditional rubber.
Pressure resistance: strong resistance to burst pressure, suitable for high pressure oil circuit, long service life.
Processing advantages: good fluidity, can be extruded smooth inner wall, reduce oil resistance, improve fuel efficiency.

Ⅲ. The Trend of Material Selection
Limitations of traditional materials: Metal pipes are susceptible to thermal expansion affecting the sealing, rubber temperature / pressure resistance is insufficient.
Emerging material substitution: PPS and other engineering plastics have become the mainstream alternative due to their comprehensive performance (high temperature resistance, pressure resistance, corrosion resistance).
Ⅳ. The Selection of Material Recommendations
Priority performance matching: High-pressure/high-temperature conditions recommended PPS or stainless steel, conventional heat dissipation needs can choose aluminum alloy or enhanced rubber.
Modification scenarios: Silicone material is suitable for low-cost performance upgrades, aramid wire reinforced structure can improve pressure resistance.
